Dear SPLS community,

Please join me in congratulating our exceptional business office team for being recognized with the 2025 University of Arizona Team Award for Excellence! This university-wide award honors excellence in teamwork, efficiency, and quality of contributions that, together, are game-changers in university operations and impact.

After joining us at intervals over the past ~11 months, our team has shepherded us toward financial stability, compliance, and clarity in this 'year like no other'. They have gotten to know us individually and supportively, invested in our marquee programs like the Arizona Genomics Institute, the Herbarium, and the Arboretum, and maintained their level of excellence in the other units they concurrently serve.

I am truly grateful to our team for all they have done. Congratulations Kevin Teres, Jen Rascon, Nic Propp, Bonnie Gilmore, Ginger Lunt, and (in the shared ENVS/WRRC offices), Maxine Martinez, and thank you for all you do as team members with us here in SPLS.
