Hi All,

I'm sharing information from David Galbraith about an interesting seminar titled "Toward a holistic and quantitative stem cell state landscape," presented by Susanne Rafelski, Allen Institute for Cell Science in Seattle. The seminar will be held in the Department of Physics at 3 pm this Friday. Please see the email below for additional details.

Cheers,
Xiong

Subject: Seminar at UA

Hi Xiong:

Hope you are well. Things are going fine here. I have a quick request: I understand you are in charge of the SPLS seminar program. I don't think I am still able to access the SPLS list-serv to post emails to the faculty and students, but this upcoming seminar in Physics should be of great interest to our School. Could you post it for me? Sorry this is a quick turnaround but I only just heard from Susanne.

Thanks and best wishes!

David

Dear colleagues:

Apologies for the short notice. Please see a link to an upcoming seminar at UA by Dr. Susanne Rafelski, Deputy Director of Scientific Programs at the Allen Institute for Cell Sciences in Seattle. Susanne worked in my laboratory as an undergraduate some 25+ years ago. We published some well-cited work in Mol Bio of the Cell in 2000 that utilized GFP expression to visualize nuclear mobility in vivo in Arabidopsis thaliana. Her research has expanded well beyond plants since that time!

Her seminar is this Friday at 3PM in the PAS large lecture room PAS 201 as the weekly physics colloquium. Further information is at:

Please forward this information to others that may be interested.

Best wishes,

David
