Just getting to this.  Please add this to your calendar and the SPLS -BIZOFFICE Calendar.

Just a reminder, a few days prior to your day off, please send out an email letting staff know you will be leaving early in case they need you to take care of something pressing.  That email address is plantsci at list.cals.arizona.edu<mailto:plantsci at list.cals.arizona.edu> , make sure to put your email out of office as well, and send me an email with any pending things that need to be taken care of.

I will approve your vacation time, pending that you have your imperative work completed prior.  That being that there are no invoices more than a week old that need to be paid, no requisitions more than three days since requested, and that your account reports for date ending December 31st have been sent out.   This is going to be common practice for any employee requesting time off, not just you.  We can't take time off if the work is behind.  There may be times when we get caught up where you can ask for help in completing the tasks to ensure that you don't have anything lagging.  Currently, none of us have any time to spare to assist with other's and their duties.  I apologize for that, but that is our current situation unfortunately.
