Dear Colleagues,

On Friday, Feb. 16, the University will implement a streamlined NetID+ two-factor authentication experience, Duo Universal Prompt. As a reminder, this will change the way users will log in to our Virtual Private Network (VPN).

What is Changing?

Duo: The Duo two-factor authentication prompt will appear slightly different on your desktop browser than the current version. A visual preview of these changes is available in this knowledge article.<https://click.comms.arizona.edu/?qs=1c01a4d7ad3282cfd2fa62e1175e7e9a1f957bbd9e57101e45490f1815cba826b4c5fcc00e73810c36d57f6365931665776f6c062418ef8d>

Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections will automatically begin using the University’s single sign-on authentication method and Duo Universal Prompt that all users are familiar with. Specifically, the Duo Mobile Push option will no longer prompt users to enter the NetID+ Method in the Cisco Secure Connect app. The process for new VPN users to download and install the VPN<https://click.comms.arizona.edu/?qs=1c01a4d7ad3282cfd5b200a2908e5124642befbce4775e9b0c6428c4c615c6bbf1f605e06e5f71fd9f79839620b188e0fd9f3fff27d5a640> Cisco Secure Connect app has also been simplified.
