Hello,

Apologies for not sending out an email last week, I had intended to.  I had surgery last week and was in the hospital for 4 days due to some complications.  I was home on Sunday.  This was something that I couldn't put off any longer and it was the worst timing of all, plus with the complications my rate of recovery has been far less than I anticipated and I have been struggling a bit.  I am working from home this week for recovery purposes and that is why I haven't been in the office.  I should be back to my normal schedule on Monday.  I share this personal information with you all, so everyone knows the reason why some of my email responses have been delayed as well as why some tasks have been delayed.  We are all working as hard as possible to catch up, again.  Almost half of the account reports have gone out and the rest should be coming soon.

-PAYBACK:  The big day has arrived.....  I have until November 15th to make the first payback installment to CALES in the amount of $1,445,469.00.  This was more than the amount I was given as an estimate by almost 500K.  I am working on the -ALLFUNDS Financial Report of Non-Award/Grant Accounts and Balances.  I am not close to done and will be working on it all weekend to meet the submission goal of Monday November 13th.  I will send out information on the financial status of the school after I go over all the final information with Dr. Galbraith.  The overall financial health of the University is under scrutiny right now and we all need to be conscientious on spending.

-PHOTO CONTEST:  I am moving back the date to submit photos until Monday November 20th.  This is due to the snafu of the set up of the list serv and other mitigating factors.  Please continue to submit!

-USE SPLS EMAIL:  I have been receiving an abundance of emails to my personal email.  Any questions on finances should be directed to the main SPLS email to be addressed by assigned office staff.   I am not able to run the ship by myself and rely on the amazing team we have to assist with tasks.
