When you get your new zoom phone DO NOT USE THE POWER ADAPTER
The phone will get power from the ethernet port

Disconnect the network cable that goes to the computer and connected to the phone then use the other network cable to connect from the phone to the computer



If you need a University phone number to make or receive phone calls external to the University as part of your regular work processes, get a KFS number from your business manager and contact Telecommunications Services at UITS-Telco at arizona.edu<mailto:UITS-Telco at arizona.edu> or 520-621-8999.

Good afternoon - I am writing to notify you that the port date for 5/4 is in confirmed for your line(s).


  *   If you are receiving a desk phone, they will have 1GB data passthrough.
     *   You should not need the AC power adaptor, the phone should work without it.
     *   Plug the data cord from the wall to the phone, and from the phone to your computer - see image below
     *   When you do plug them in, please give them 15-20 minutes to go through update and reboot cycle.
  *   Lines should be active around 8:45am or so.

**NOTE: Do NOT use the included power adaptor unless the phone does not power up when plugged into Ethernet. Most phones will NOT need the power adapter.
