Subject: Budget Summary

Hi Unit Heads,
Thank you for allowing me to attend last week's meeting. It was helpful to hear from you all and the issues you're facing.

I mentioned a summary that I and a colleague, Jeff Michler (faculty in AREC), had been working on. I'm attaching the latest version here. It describes the issues we are facing at Central Administration. (and we've been amending it as we get more information). You're free to share it with your units --both staff and faculty.

I also thought I'd alert you that the President's meeting with ABOR is tomorrow, Wednesday Dec 12th at 5pm and ABOR has issued the attached document in advance. Quite concerning that the blame continues to be cast on units/colleges, and you'll notice that there seems to be a new push for centralization of IT. We'll be watching this closely.
