Workshop on Am I Even a Caregiver? -  October 1, Noon -12:30p.m.

The term "caregiver" can be interpreted many ways, even by those who call themselves caregivers. Join dependent care advisor Eileen Lawless, MSW, and Jutta Ulrich, MBA, MHSM, executive director of the Arizona Caregiver Coalition, to discuss the varied roles and intricate skills involved in family caregiving. Mini-Health Screening - October 12, 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Do you know your numbers? This general health screening offers you a great starting point for your next discussion with your doctor. The 20-minute session -free once per year for all benefits-eligible-employees -includes:
*A fasting blood test, including blood sugar test and full cholesterol and lipid panels.
*A hemoglobin A1C test.
*Height, weight, and waist circumference measurements.
*Blood pressure measurement.
*Osteoporosis and bone density screenings.(Recommended for people age 40 and older, and for those under 40 who are menopausal.)
*Prostate-Specific Antigen, or PSA, screening.(Recommended for people age 40 and older.)

Flu Shot Clinic - October 13, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

But it's important for everyone's quality of life for you to invest as much in yourself as you do in others. Cancer Screening - October 19, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the U.S., and early detection is a proven line of defense against this deadly disease. Benefits-eligible University of Arizona employees, and spouses covered by their insurance, have the opportunity to receive a free, confidential breast cancer screening each year through the Mobile On-site Mammography service.
