[Plantsci] Free flu shot for benefits-eligible employees and their dependents

Flu season is right around the corner. One of the ways you can reduce risk to this seasonal illness is by getting vaccinated. Vaccination against each year's strain of seasonal influenza helps protect you and lowers potential transmission in the community.

Beginning on Wednesday, September 28, Life & Work Connections will again offer free flu shot clinics at the Tucson Campus. These clinics are open to benefits-eligible employees, their dependents age 4 and older, and University retirees.

To provide more employees the opportunity to receive the flu shot, Tucson Campus clinics will be held in a larger space for a longer period of time. Appointments are required for each person receiving a vaccination.

Flu shots are also available through ADOA clinics (https://wellness.az.gov/flushot), Healthwaves clinics (http://www.healthwaves.com/Healthwaves/Public_Flu_Clinics.html), primary care physicians, and pharmacies.
