Upcoming Deadlines for Childcare Support Programs

Applications open soon for the 2021-2022 University of Arizona's flagship childcare support programs, available to employees through Life & Work Connections.
In the Sick and Back-Up Childcare Program, the University partners with vendor Trusting Connections to provide benefits-eligible employees a backup childcare option. Enrollees may request temporary in-home care from a Trusting Connections caregiver for only $5 per hour up to 10 times per year. You must be registered before requesting emergency childcare. Enrollment begins July 1.
The Childcare Choice -Employee Program reimburses benefits-eligible employees up to $2,000 per household per year for qualifying childcare in Arizona. Availability is prioritized based on application date. New this year: The Childcare Choice -Employee application is moving to UAccess! Registration begins Aug. 1.

QPR stands for question, persuade, and refer -three simple steps you can take to help save a life from suicide. Just as people use CPR to save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor to help.
This session is intended to teach parents how to recognize suicidal behavior in their children and to ask important questions.
