The Commission on the Status of Women is seeking new members and those interested in starting in leadership positions!

CSW is an all-volunteer organization of faculty, staff and graduate students. We serve the entire campus community through education, networking, workshops, funding, and awards. Our members join and serve as volunteers on workgroups with specific focuses such as Faculty Affairs, Equity & Mentoring, Programs & Networking, Outreach & Communications, Women in Technology, and Family & Self-Care. Workgroup members might help plan events, represent us on committees, conduct research, or help with things like marketing or administration.

We are seeking new members to join our organization to assist with our mission. We are also seeking those interested in leadership roles in Faculty Affairs, Outreach & Communications, Family & Self-Care, and Equity & Mentoring. Each group has two workgroup chairs that are members of the executive committee and help set the agenda for the group each year, plan activities and research, and manage budgets and logistics. Being a member or workgroup chair is an excellent opportunity to give back to the campus community, provide resources for your colleagues, build your skills and resume, network, and make your voice heard on issues of equity & inclusion.
