  QPR- Fall 2018 Suicide Prevention Classes open to UA Faculty & Staff

Many of us have been affected by suicide and it remains one of the leading causes of death among college students.

In recognition of this important public health issue, the UA Campus Health Service is offering free, 2-hour QPR Suicide Prevention classes  open to the CHS and UA Campus Community.  QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer - the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.


Fall 2018 Workshop dates, times and location


*         Thursday, October 4 from 2-4pm

*         Thursday, November 15 from 2-4pm

*         Location: Campus Health/Highland Commons Building Room B 307

o    (more classes will be held at later dates)

As a QPR-trained gatekeeper you will learn to:
-Recognize the warning signs of suicide
-Know how to offer hope
-Know how to get help and save a life
