Dear CyVerse Community,

Are you interested in bioinformatics and computational biology? Care to visit the Rocky Mountains this summer? Maybe you'll consider joining us at the 2018 Rocky Mountain Genomics HackCon, held in Boulder, Colorado on July 18–23, 2018.

The HackCon this year will  include immersive and interactive opportunities. Attendees can choose from a selection of hands-on technical workshops, followed by a plenary, poster, and exhibitor session. Plenary talks will provide insight on current active computational and analysis challenges and solutions, discussing metagenomics, personalized medicine, data sharing, and biotech industries.

CyVerse team members will be in attendance, leading a workshop on June 20th: "Extracting Viruses from Metagenomic and Metaviromic Samples." Click "learn more" below for more information and registration. We hope to see you there!

NCBI Whole Genome Shotgun (WGS) Submission Tutorial (currently beta)

Genome submissions are comprised of genomic DNA sequences representing either incomplete or complete genomes from both prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Both WGS and non-WGS genomes can be submitted via this workflow.

*We are currently seeking beta testers for this item!
