New Course for Fall 2017
ECOL 496J/596J | Plant Population Ecology
This course about the population and community ecology of plants will be taught this fall to interested grads and undergrads with a background in ecology and botany. It provides excellent background for new grad students interested in plant ecology and evolution but can also be taken repeatedly by more advanced grad students.
The course will cover population dynamics, intra- and interpsecific competitive, predatory and mutualistic interactions and community dynamics with an emphasis on empirical research. The format will be a combination of lectures and student presentation/discussions.
The course will meet Wedensdays from 10 AM - 12 PM. It is available for 1-3 credits, for graduate students and undergraduates with some background in ecology, evolution and plant biology.
For more information, please contact Larry Venable via email<mailto:venable at email.arizona.edu> or at (520)621-5956<tel:(520)%20621-5956>
