The University of Arizona is once again participating in National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) as a NCSAM Champion (staysafeonline.org/ncsam/champions/all-champion-organizations). The UA Information Security team takes its responsibility to the UA community seriously, particularly when it comes to identifying and mitigating risks to UA information assets.

While security threats are ubiquitous and ever-changing, you, as UA faculty and staff, have the power and responsibility to protect assets entrusted to you.  Our team is here to make it easier for you to do so.

*         Phishing Alerts:  This is one of the most active spots on our website.  When we receive a phishing report from campus, we post the report here. Cybersecurity Awareness Just Got Easier!
Security awareness training for all employees has been in place since 2010.  FINALLY, customized security awareness training is available in UAccess Learning.

Up-to-Date Information & Free Resources
The new awareness training not only provides updated information on security threats and trends, but also points to free security resources available to all faculty and staff.

[Title: Don't be the weak link! - Description: Did you know all UA employees, student workers, and DCCs are required to complete security awareness training?  Don't be the weak link!]The training takes about 45 minutes to complete, and covers such topics as social engineering, phishing, mobile device security, and password creation and management.  The entire class consists of 10 short modules, so it can be completed in one sitting, or over a few sessions.

Should I Take This Training?
If you are a new employee, you are required to complete security awareness training as part of the new employee onboarding process.  However, all employees (especially those who completed awareness training prior to 2015) are encouraged to re-take awareness training.
