[Plantsci] Mike Axtell seminar, Tues Nov 15

Hi all,

I want to bring to your attention an exciting seminar coming up. On
Tuesday, Michael Axtell will present our departmental seminar (4pm, Marley
230).

Mike will be sharing with us his unpublished work demonstrating that the
parasitic plant dodder hijacks its host by injecting small RNAs across the
haustorial interface. This should be a fascinating talk for anyone
interested in host-parasite interactions, cell-to-cell communication,
regulation of gene expression, noxious weeds, or bioinformatic approaches.

Mike has a full agenda on Tuesday, but if you'd like a chance to meet him,
please join us for Happy Hour at Gentle Ben's on Monday night (5 o'clock).
Everyone is welcome - students and postdocs are particularly encouraged to
come and meet our speaker.
