NOTIFICATION: Power outage Computer Center, LSS, Keating

As part of the Network Redesign Project, new routers, firewalls and other network support equipment has been purchased and installed.  In order to power on this new equipment, UITS will be performing maintenance on our power system to increase the load capacity.  As such, several systems will be affected as power will be shut down in various phases and at various locations.  See below for more details.

·         Sunday May 15th 12-2am - Computer Center

o   Campus DHCP services will failover

o   2nd street garage wireless is going down



·         Monday May 16th, 12-2am - Computer Center

o   Inbound VOIP calls will fail over to site 2

o   VPN will fail over to secondary site

o   Campus DHCP services will failover

o   Voice Mail services will go down

o   5ESS will be fine and general voice routing will be up

o   Small router for few buildings that are singly connected:

§  Facilities management lock shop will go down

§  Kappa Alpha Theta will go down

§  Gamma Phi Beta will go down

o   DAS services at Arizona Stadium for ATT and Verizon will go down



·         Wednesday May 18th, 12-4am - Life Sciences South (LSS)

o   VPN will fail over to the primary site

o   LSS building itself -- data connectivity will fail over between primary and secondary during maintenance, but will not go down

o   LSS ISDN phones will go down, analog phones will stay up

o   Amer-X, security cameras and card access will go onto battery backup mode



·         Monday May 23rd, 12-2am - Keating

o   All building voice and data services will go down

o   Amer-X, security cameras, and card access will go onto battery backup mode
