Job Announcement: PLS Tutors

The SALT Center provides tutoring to students at the UA with learning and attention challenges.  Tutors work with students on a one-on-one basis and use learning strategies to help improve their academic performance. Our tutors receive paid training in general tutoring strategies and working with students with learning challenges. Wages start at $8.25 per hour and tutors create their own schedule. We ask tutors to provide a minimum of 6 hours of availability per week, and most tutors typically work 8-12 hours a week. The SALT Center is a College Reading and Learning Association certified tutoring program, and tutors have an opportunity to become Regular, Advanced, or Master-level CRLA certified tutors.  Tutors who achieve higher certification receive corresponding pay increases.  This position is on-campus and is work study eligible.
