[Plantsci] Need volunteers to represent SPLS at the Science City (March 16 and 17)

On behalf of Dr. Ravi Palanivelu:

I am soliciting volunteers to manage the School of Plant Sciences booth in the Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books March 15-16, 2014 on the UA Mall. I need 8 volunteers for Saturday (March 15) and 8 volunteers on Sunday (March 16). Volunteers will do 2 hour shifts along with another volunteer.

The volunteers are expected to present activities and interact with visitors (I will provide the information and training). Last year a total of 750 visitors stopped by our booth over 2 days. It is a great opportunity to present our school to the science enthusiasts in Tucson. Please consider volunteering for our last outreach event of this year. If  interested, please contact Ravi Palanivelu (rpalaniv at email.arizona.edu<mailto:rpalaniv at email.arizona.edu>) no later than Thursday of this week (3/13/14). First 10 volunteers will get a free, official Science City T-shirt!
