[unplanned service interruption] UPDATE: University of Arizona email block lifted by Microsoft email domains July 28, 2014 12:00PM

Subject: UPDATE: University of Arizona email blocked by Microsoft email domains has been lifted.

Date and Time:  Monday July 28, 2014 12:00PM

Service(s) Affected:  University of Arizona email sent to @msn.com, @live.com and @hotmail.com email addresses.

Impact to Campus:  Previously, email being sent from any Arizona.edu email addresses was being blocked by any Microsoft email domains, including msn.com, live.com and hotmail.com. Email from Arizona.edu email addresses is now being received by clients under these domains, but new messages may be placed in the client’s spam folder.

Planned Operation:  Please be aware that email sent to @msn.com, @live.com and @hotmail.com may be placed in the client’s spam folder. The client should mark the message as “not spam” to receive future Arizona.edu email, or reply to an Arizona.edu email t o ensure they receive future messages from our domain. UITS is aware of the issue and working on a resolution.
