[Plantsci] Reminder - Hans VanEtten Retirement Party- January 19th

Dear School of Plant Sciences members,

Thank you to those who have already replied about whether you are able to
attend Hans' retirement party.

We need to finalize the number of attendees to let Old Tucson know our
group size, so if you are able to attend and haven't let me know yet,
please let me know by Wednesday, January 8th.

As I wrote in the first message, to recognize Hans' outstanding academic
career we are holding a celebration in true Fungal Genetics style,
including dinner and dancing with a live band, at Old Tucson Studios on
Jan 19th from 6 pm to midnight with friends and colleagues both near and
far.  We will also have tributes to Hans from various times of his career.
 Over 80 former colleagues, students, post-docs and technicians both local
and out of town have confirmed they will be attending.

The whole School of Plant Sciences is invited to attend this fun event.
Costs for the evening will be $35 per faculty/staff or $15 per graduate
student. Spouses/significant others are welcome. We hope to see you all at
Hans' retirement celebration to send him out in style.  Please make your
checks out to me as we will be using it to pay part of the costs at Old
Tucson.
