Job Announcement: PLS Tutors

The SALT Center at UA is currently looking for tutors for the Spring 2015 semester for PLS classes including PLS 312. SALT provides tutoring to students at the UA with learning and attention challenges. Tutors work with students on a one-on-one basis on academic skills and content knowledge. Our tutors receive paid training in tutoring techniques and working with students with learning challenges.
Wages start at $8.25 an hour and tutors create their own schedule. Tutors must provide a minimum of 6 hours a week, and most tutors typically work 8-12 hours a week. The SALT Center is a College of Reading and Learning Association Certified tutoring program, and tutors have an opportunity to become Regular, Advanced, or Master-level CRLA certified tutors. This position is on-campus and is work study eligible.
