[Plantsci] Reminder - Request for volunteers for outreach events by the School of Plant Sciences

Request for volunteers

We are requesting volunteers for two important outreach events by the School
of Plant Sciences. So far, 6 people have signed up for the Science City and
4 for SARSEF. Please consider helping us out, as we need at least 15 and 10
volunteers, respectively. If you are interested or have any questions,
please contact Ravi Palanivelu (rpalaniv at ag.arizona.edu) no later than
Friday (3/1/13). 

1. Science City 2013 (http://sciencecity.arizona.edu/)

Volunteers will monitor a booth showcasing interactive activities on various
aspects of plant and microbial sciences in the UA mall. Volunteers are
needed for two hour shifts between 9AM - 5PM on March 9 and 10. All
volunteers will receive a free 'Science City 2013' T-shirt!

2. Judging SARSEF science fair projects

Judges will be expected to evaluate plant and microbial science-based
projects competing in SARSEF 2013 (http://www.sarsef.org/) on Tuesday,
3/12/13 in the Tucson Convention Center (transportation will be provided).
Judges will receive free breakfast and lunch on the judging day!

Please consider volunteering and help our school complete these events
successfully.
