This week's presentation will be:
 
Rock, Pinyon, and Oak: Discovering and Describing the Vegetation of SE
Arizona for the FireScape Project
Presented by: 
Jim Malusa
 
Jim Malusa is a biogeographer with the School of Natural Resources and the
Environment. 
He makes pretty maps of the vegetation of Southern Arizona. His primary
projects are the 
vegetation of SW Arizona, from Organ Pipe to Yuma, and the vegetation of the
Sky Islands. This 
talk is adapted from one delivered in February to the Society of American
Foresters, and the 
topic is the distribution of oaks and pines, especially pinyon, in the
mountains of SE Arizona.
