[Plantsci] FW: Eliot and Monica

Everyone,

 

Please help me welcome our newest faculty members, Drs. Eliot Herman and
Monica Schmidt, who will be starting Monday morning, March 5, 2012.  They
are joining us after a long tenure at the Danforth Plant Sciences Center in
St. Louis, Missouri.   Dr. Herman will be a Professor in the School of Plant
Sciences with his office and laboratory in the Keating Building on the 2nd
Floor.  Dr. Schmidt is an Assistant Professor in the School, her lab and
office will also be in the Keating Building on the 2nd and 3rd Floor.  Their
research projects cover a variety of topics related to biotechnology and
crop improvement, including removal of food allergens, increasing vitamin
content, and nitrogen portioning in the seed.
