SUBJECT:    Procurement and Contracting Services joins the Financial
Services Office

I am pleased to announce the incorporation of the Procurement and
Contracting Services department within the Financial Services Office.  After
a year of observation and analysis, it is apparent that there are
efficiencies and opportunities for streamlining in the areas of
acquisitioning, contracting, and paying for products and services here at
the University.  The strong link between these groups therefore makes this
consolidation a logical move for efficiency, budgetary, and compliance
reasons; and also provides for an even closer collaboration of these
efforts.  

 

At this time, locations, phone numbers and fax numbers will remain the same
for both departments.  Rest assured that while this consolidation occurs,
business will continue as normal in both FSO and PACS; however watch for
updates and future efficiencies as these areas gain and learn from working
more closely together.
