Hello,
 
Over the weekend our spam filter broke, and cut off email from off campus.
We have taken the filter off line and off-campus mail is restored, but we
are not currently blocking any spam or spoofs.  Please just delete any that
you get.  Forwarding it to us won't do any good.  Hopefully we will get the
filter fixed today.
 
This is an opportunity to educate ourselves on a few things;  over 80% of
our email is spam, and as you can tell, some of it is pretty gross. And some
of it is what are called 'phish" (pronounced fish) where someone is trying
to get private information from you.  Any of these you get that make you
wonder, get the headers (see
http://cals.arizona.edu/calsnet/headers/outlook) and check if it is coming
from a reliable source.  If in doubt, ask us.
 
Sorry for the mess;  we hope to get this baby back in action soon.
