[Plantsci] FW: [CALS_Users] Network Issues

Subject: [CALS_Users] Network Issues 

 

There are issues with the network this morning - both email and trying to
connect to off campus servers.  UITS sent the message below explaining them
(CENIC is a California educational network that we are/were attached to)
Please be patient - the whole campus is being affected.    

 

 

"CENIC is having an unspecified equipment problem which we found out about
in diagnosing other reports of slowness and dropped connection, when we
phoned them.  At 8:03 they sent email to us which has yet to arrive, to
report the problem to us.

 

We have taken down our connection to CENIC so the route flapping doesn't
affect our other links.  We are working with CENIC on the issue."
