[emergency maintenance] Emergency Downtime for Multiple Services - 9/10/11

Date and Time: 11pm Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 to 3pm Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011
Services Affected: There will be disruption of many of the services in the
UA Data Center, including the following:
* Archibus
* BPOS account migrations
* Co-located servers and equipment
* Email
* Enterprise Microsoft SQL Services
* Enterprise MySQL Services
* FRS
* HPC System
* Jira
* Matrix
* Mosaic - ALL pillars and services, both Production and Development
* Redhat Proxy
* Remedy
* Site License
* Sophos
* SPINS
* SFTP Services
* Subversion
* TMIS
* UAnswers
* UAssist
* UIS
* U System
* VMWare hosted servers
* Web Services - including:
* - w4
* - w5
* - w6
* - Front Page
* WNC virtual machines
Impact to Campus: Users of the above services will experience interrupted
services during the maintenance window. In addition, staff in Building 73
(Computer Center) should ensure that all desktop computers and other
sensitive equipment are turned off prior to the maintenance windows, as
electrical service will be intermittent.
Planned Operation: UITS Technical Staff will repair and replace a failed
control board in the Data Center's UPS.
Additional Information: An alert will be posted prior to commencing the
work. An additional alert will be posted once normal service is restored.
