ONLINE RSVP SYSTEM FOR UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA WINTER COMMENCEMENT NOW OPEN

 

Every graduating student who wishes to participate in the University's
December Commencement Ceremony is invited to RSVP to ensure seats for
themselves and their guests. 

 

November 17, 2011 - Tucson - With winter commencement approaching for the
University of Arizona, December graduates who will participate in the
commencement ceremony are invited to RSVP for themselves and their guest at
http://commencement.arizona.edu/ for the University-wide ceremony in McKale
Center.  

 

In the University's efforts to maximize the number of seats available for
guests at the University-wide ceremony, students are encouraged to RSVP
online.  This RSVP system will provide the Commencement Operations Team an
estimate of the number of students attending as well as the number of guests
each student will be bringing.  

 

During the last week of classes, Dec. 5 - 9, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. students
wishing to participate in the Winter University-wide ceremony will be given
tickets to process along with instructions.  

 

Tickets will be made available for pick up during this time at the following
convenient and accessible campus locations:  

.         Associated Students of the University of Arizona office (ASUA),
located in the SUMC 

.         Center for Student Involvement & Leadership (CSIL), Front Desk

.         Information Desk @ the Student Union Memorial Center

.         UA Main BookStore

.         UA Visitor Center, 811 N. Euclid Avenue  

 

Every student who wishes to participate in the Winter University-wide
ceremony will be provided a ticket.  Tickets are for students only.  Guests
will not need tickets; seating will be provided on a first come first served
basis. 

 

"In our efforts to maximize the number of seats available to guests at the
university-wide ceremony we are encouraging students to RSVP online," said
Christine Salvesen, Director, Academic Success & Achievement. "The
university has had an increased number of students attending commencement
ceremonies so it is important for us to give all those who plan to attend
every opportunity to secure seats in McKale. We think that asking our
graduates to RSVP online and providing convenient locations for ticket pick
up will make it easier for all who wish to join us in this celebration."

 

Winter commencement is scheduled for December 17 at 9:30 a.m. For more
