In last week's Welcome/Welcome Back message, we highlighted one of the
upcoming events this fall semester which will bring a national spotlight to
our campus:  the October 20th football game that UA will host against PAC-12
rival UCLA.  Kick-off for this Thursday night game is expected to be 6:00
p.m.

 

Over the past several years, our campus and neighborhood communities have
been great partners in managing the changes to our normal operations when
the Thursday night football games have taken place.  We have great
appreciation for our faculty, students, professionals, and staff for their
flexibility in adjusting class and workplace schedules.  Our community
partners have been equally collaborative, because all of us recognize the
great positive exposure that nationally televised events bring to the
University of Arizona and Tucson.

 

In the coming weeks, targeted communications will be directed to those units
in the quadrants of the Main Campus whose operations are most likely to be
impacted by the change in access and traffic due to the 6:00 p.m. kick-off.

 

Thank you for your efforts in using October 20th as another opportunity to
demonstrate our Wildcat Spirit.
