<div dir="ltr">Dear Supporters of the IYRP 2026 <div><br></div><div>Due to the current vacancy for a co-chair for the IYRP International Support Group and the increase in activities and interactions as we get closer to the International Year, having a strong leadership to take the IYRP coalition forward and lay the foundation for a successful International Year is crucial. </div><div><br></div><div>We have attempted to fill the co-chair position through nominations from the IYRP Global Coordinating Group, but due to only a few nominations received (these nominations are still valid) and the late withdrawal of a candidate, we have decided to allow the wider International Support Group to nominate individuals who have knowledge of the IYRP and has participated in IYRP activities in some way or the other. We envisage filling the vacant co-chair position and hopefully be in a position to appoint an additional co-chair to spread the workload. The Terms of Reference for the co-chair portfolio is attached. <b>Crucial to note that this is a volunteer position for a period of one year with the option to extend. </b></div><div><br></div><div>We encourage members of the IYRP ISG to <b>make nominations before 03 Dec 2023</b>. As part of the process, the nominee should accept the nomination, provide his/her CV and write a brief motivation on why he/she has accepted the nomination and where he/she could add value to the IYRP coalition. Nominations should be sent to the current co-chair, Igshaan Samuels at <b><font color="#0000ff"><a href="mailto:isamuels@uwc.ac.za">isamuels@uwc.ac.za</a> </font></b></div><div><br></div><div>After nominations have been made and documented, the Global Coordinating Group of the IYRP will (through a transparent voting process) decide whom they feel can best lead the coalition. </div><div><br></div><div>We strongly hope that you or your colleagues will consider being part of the Global Secretariat of the IYRP ISG.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Kind regards</div><div>Igshaan Samuels</div><div>IYRP ISG co-chair </div></div>
