in rangelands through the Society for Range Management, the Rangelands Partnership and The International Rangeland Congress that we should advocate for the UN to designate an International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists you showed leadership and worked
hard with determination to make this idea come true. I recall meetings and discussions in the early days on the fringes of UNEA in Nairobi and the efforts to get governments to support the initiative. It has been a long journey, we made it together, but
