      Dear All,<br>

      for the International Year of Rangeland and Pastoralists 2026 we
      would like to produce<span style="background: transparent"> </span>portraits
      in photos and short video clips about Pastoralists around the
      world to show the variability of different pastoralist cultures in
      an exhibition - this is our goal. We would like to get support
      from CELEP members, IYRP support groups or others in terms of
      infrastructure like transport, translator, contacts, etc.. Our
      future collaboration partners can use the visual materials for
      their own purposes. <b>We would like to stress that we will do
        our work for free.</b><br>

      <span lang="en-US"><span style="font-weight: normal">We - Dr.
          Petra Dilthey (cultural anthropologist/filmmaker) and Uli
          Schwarz (environmental scientist/camera-operator) work as
          couple and team since 20 years in film production especially
          in documenting development work of governmental and
          non-governmental organizations (BMZ, GIZ, SOS Kinderdörfer,
          Malteser International, Globalgiving, </span></span><span
        lang="en-US">Care & Share India, Amazonica, VSF Belgium, </span><span
        lang="en-US"><span style="font-weight: normal">VSF Germany) as
          well as documenting specific development projects for German
          TV. Since 10 years we work with pastoral communities in Kenya,
          Uganda, Ethiopia and Senegal. For example we presented our
          documentary film “Deux filles – Deux mondes” at the Festival
          du Film PASTORALISMES ET GRANDS ESPACES, 2018 in Grenoble,

      The new privacy law (DSGVO) makes it necessary and important to
      get the written consent from everybody which will be in the
      pictures and in the future exhibition - that is why we can not use
      most of our old photo- and video materials. That is why it will be
      a completely new project.<br>
