Dear colleagues,

I am happy to share with you a document prepared by the WG on Land. The 'Policy Brief on Securing Land Rights for Pastoralists' is attached here. Prepared by a sub-group of the Land WG led by Mark Moritz, Saverio Kratli and Flora Vern, this policy brief nuances the conversation around securing land rights for pastoralists. It carefully elucidates the intricacies of pastoral land use and how mainstream thinking falls short of making adequate provisions for pastoral land rights.

The brief also makes 7 calls to action which serve as useful guides for advocacy and decision-making. The brief is meant to serve as a tool for advocacy and may be supplemented by contextually relevant material where useful.
