Dear all,

Here is an interesting publication that seeks to contribute to the aims of the IYRP 2026:

https://fic.tufts.edu/publication-item/guidelines-for-participatory-water-management-and-development-in-karamoja/ <https://fic.tufts.edu/publication-item/guidelines-for-participatory-water-management-and-development-in-karamoja/>

The Guidelines for Participatory Water Management and Development in Karamoja, Uganda, were developed to improve the planning, development and management of domestic and livestock water sources, using an easy-to-use 3-phase, 12-step approach. The approach is transferable to other areas of Eastern Africa and can therefore help strengthen water and rangeland planning processes in pastoral areas and contribute to the aims of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) 2026.

Cheers,
Ann
