Dear IYRP International Support Group (ISG) members and regional (RISG) members*

(*RISG co-chairs: please circulate this in your respective RISGs, as not all members of the RISGs are in our ISG listserv; they are included only if the RISG co-chairs sent me the addresses)

The Society for Range Management (SRM) is holding its annual meeting (https://rangelands.org/annual-meeting-2024/ <https://rangelands.org/annual-meeting-2024/>) in the week of 29 January in Sparks, Nevada, USA, which is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT = UTC-8:00).

The SRM International Affairs Committee has made complimentary virtual registrations available for members of the global and regional support groups of the IYRP to encourage international participation in the meeting (see details below for registering). All virtual sessions will have closed caption translations provided by Zoom in 26 languages; instructions on how to use this translation service are attached.

Below are several IYRP-related activities that will be held during the SRM annual meeting and may be particularly interesting for you:

Monday 29 Jan 
-10:20-11:40 PT: Southern Pacific B; Global Producers (this is not explicitlyon the  IYRP, but the submitted talks come from around the world)
-15:20-17:00 PT: Cascade 3; IYRP Film Fest (led by Courtney Buchanan)

Tuesday 30 Jan
-10:20-17:00 PT: Southern Pacific E; Women Making a Change on the Range (led by Leslie Morris)
-13:00-17:00 PT: Alpine 1; IYRP workshop (led by Layne Coppock)

Wednesday 31 Jan 
13:00-15:00 PT: Southern Pacific D; IYRP Elevating voices (led by Lauren Svejcar)

Additionally, on 31 Jan at 10:00-12:00 PT, Nick Padilla is leading a symposium on "Sustaining Indigenous Natural Resources" and it would be great if people could attend this one as well. 

Access to complimentary virtual registration

Please fill out each field included in the sheet in order to be granted virtual access to the 2024 SRM conference. Once you have completed the information, you will receive a welcome email that will give you to access the virtual site. The deadline to sign up for your complimentary access is Tuesday 22 January.

Your welcome email will be sent from Cadence, the virtual site provider that SRM uses for its online meetings. Once you are logged in, you will be able to view the full programme and plan which sessions you would like to join virtually. In order to access the Zoom link for each meeting at its scheduled date and time, you will need to “Add” the schedule item to your personal schedule. This will allow you to see and access the Zoom link for each meeting. Please do not attempt to click on any of the Zoom links until the scheduled date and time of the respective session.
