Dear IYRP Colleagues

The Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN) is the global network for rural water professionals with over 15,000 members in 160 countries, and we have prepared a draft strategy for the network up to 2030. Rural water supply is often driven by domestic and international actors in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) development cooperation space who generally view it as a static public service for settled rural, small town and peri-urban communities. In this new strategy, we want make sure that pastoralist/nomadic peoples are not left out (again). So, I would really welcome your ideas and feedback on how we best connect and support those who working in this space. There are also tensions (particularly when it comes to water quality and treatment) when it comes to drinking water v. water for other uses, such as livestock watering. If anyone has any good research or resources on this topic then let me know!
