IIED is pleased to announce that self-enrolment for the exciting new MOOC -  Pastoralism in development <https://www.iied.org/mooc-pastoralism-development-online-learning-journey>, funded by Misereor -  has now opened. Interested participants can register today for a MOOC student account at: https://pastoralismindevelopment.moodlecloud.com/login/index.php <https://pastoralismindevelopment.moodlecloud.com/login/index.php>, by clicking the ‘Create new account’ button.

The course starts on 30 January 2023 and will run for three weeks. It consists of three distinct modules with clear milestones, practical exercises for self-learning, and discussions and conversations facilitated by tutors. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for the course provided they meet the relevant requirements.

‘The approach taken in this MOOC is extremely thought-provoking and dispels many of the long prevailing myths about pastoralism. The course is a must not only for young students of pastoralism but also for people who have been working in dryland research and development for many years, as it stimulates them to question their own assumptions.’
