Thank you Ilse,
It is an accomplished video of a drama increasingly happening around the world, all the way from the Norwegian high arctic, with electricity lines and roads increasingly crisscrossing reindeer migration routes, to Rajasthan´s grasslands and public lands, turned into industrial areas.
It is great that IYRP´s 2026 was mentioned by the interviewed herdsman, who sadly also mentioned that pastoralism in his region may be gone by then. This is a big reminder for all of us about the timeliness of our initiative, the formidable task we have ahead, and the opportunity that every day represents, from now to 2026, to make a difference.
Best,
Jürgen

Subject: [IYRPsupportgroup] A great model for projecting perspective of pastoralists
Dear All, this link is to an interview with one of our camel pastoralists from Rajasthan, Sumer Singh. It's in Hindi but with English subtitles. It received a raving response on the internat. Pastoralists WA group and it was suggested to share it here and do similar interviews in other countries.
Just as an inspiration...
Kind regards
Ilse
