Dear IYRP Support Group Members:

It has been some time since we held an ISG meeting and a good deal has been happening as the Regional Support Groups have been starting to meet and initiate action plans.  And, we have critical deadlines coming up before the UN General Assembly meeting in September.  To this end, we invite you to fill out this Doodle Poll so we can set a day and time for a meeting in March - https://doodle.com/poll/xpfcqp8iacz9dcf7?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link.  Please fill in the dates you will be available by 2 March.  The time in the poll should adjust to each of your time zones.

For your information and review, a tentative agenda is included below.  If you have other items you wish to discuss, please let me know.  A final agenda and Zoom session numbers will be provided following the close of the poll.

ISG Meeting - Tentative Agenda

1.  Update on the FAO process towards the FAO Conference July 2021, and discussion on communication strategy (Gregorio and Ganbayar);

2. Update from the Government of Mongolia and NSG, (Munkhnasan and Hijaba); discussion of UN General Assembly September 2021, processes and prospects (Maryam);

3.  Update from the Global Communications Team (Engin, Ann, Barbara);

4. Updates from the RISGs on country support; strategizing and developing sub-groups; discussion on protocol to upload material to their folder in the website;

5. Other UN events and processes, including UN Food Systems Summit (Fiona, Pablo Manzano and Maryam) and UNCCD (Bukuru);

6. Potential coordination with UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and UN Decade of Family Farming (Fiona, others);

7. Discussion on how to distinguish and coordinate three sets of member lists: a) IYRP General List; b) ISG list; and c) lists being maintained by RISGs.
