Dear Barbara,

Many thanks for sharing the Feb 7 Meeting minutes, and other related
documents. As these were exactly, what MOFALI officers copied here were
asking me, I had a liberty to share these documents with some
representatives of national stakeholders including MOFALI and MET who are
able to understand documents, and also suggested to join today's conference
call on UNEA Ministerial breakfast. Unfortunately, for most of the
colleagues, it was short notice so only two colleagues from Green Gold were
able to join the Zoom meeting hosted by Fiona. Please kindly note that I
copied this message to these Mongolian colleagues with whom I shared the
attached documents to be more inclusive.
Coming back to the Action items in the Notes, I think, we definitely need
to update TOR of ISG (even the year aiming for IYRP is 2020 in the current
TOR), add some milestones/steps taken so far, and as Ann was suggesting a
more efficient structural change, and possibly rotations among members in
to equally distribute the load since we have now more members. In
this regard, I suggest having not one Taskforce group but several including
most members in different areas so that we can work simultaneously on
different objectives of ISG and the Chair to coordinate among them.
As colleagues here were asking who are the ISG, such updated TOR will help
to introduce the group to others. As suggested, Mongolia can take the lead
in IYRP resolution Taskforce but with the inclusion of 1-2 more experienced
members as a resource person since the process is very new to us. We
realize, even among us national, stakeholders, we have to set much more
organized communications between National Support Group, National Steering
Committee, and ISG, and reach consensus on differing roles between NSG and
NSC.
In addition to the currently listed 5 Action points, maybe we should add
Action 6 to facilitate dialogue between MOFALI, MET, MFA to prepare
Mongolia's participation/leadership in the International Steering Committee
or global promotion of IYRP. Or it can be more of National SG's task too
once established.

With best regards,

Tungaa
