[IYRPsupportgroup] ODG Case 2541 - FAO Reply to Government Mongolia - proposal IY Pastoralists and Rangelands

I seem to recall a push to hold IY's every second year and a lot of
resistance to every year. This 2027 seems to make sense. I wonder if a
global push for a diet that is reduced in meat, including reporting from
FAO is hindering this initiative. We might be caught in the continuing
discussion of the value of Rangelands and use that Rangeland will continue
to provide for local communities, which on a monetary basis means livestock
production, trade, and sale. We all know that Rangeland cannot be used to
support much of a non meat diet, but there is a movement afoot that does
not understand.
