[IYRPsupportgroup] Conference - Pastoralism and rangelands restoration

Dear colleagues,
IUCN, in collaboration with partners is organizing a conference on pastoralism and rangelands restoration that will be held in Burkina Faso and back to back with the International Civil Society Summit "Land, Biodiversity & Climate" "Desertif'action" from June 19th - 22th 2019 Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. We are happy to announce the conference under the theme "Pastoralism and Rangeland Restoration: a practitioners' dialogue for increased investment in pastoral management of the rangelands". This will be a 2 days conference that will start on the 18th of June 2019 and will continue as part of "Desertif'action 2019" agenda.
As you know, rangelands need to be recognized for their uniqueness and their potential to address issues of climate change through restoration. Restoration of rangelands can secure multiple benefits generated by the ecosystem services and address land degradation at the same time.
Please share the conference announcement with your networks and we are inviting you for a reach collaboration to enhancing transformative actions and policies towards sustainable pastoralism and rangelands restoration.
