[IYRP General List] FYI: Giving East African pastoralists a voice in IYRP2026

RECONCILE (Resource Conflict Institute), a Kenya-based policy, research and advocacy organisation, and ACC (Ateker Cultural Centre) in Karamoja, Uganda, have received two years’ funding (2025 and 2026) from Misereor (Germany) to work on behalf of the Regional IYRP Support Group (RISG) in Eastern & Southern Africa in preparing for the IYRP2026. The lobbying project, called “Giving pastoralists a voice”, which is also working closely with PWC (Pastoral Women Council) in Tanzania, seeks to make opinions and concerns of pastoralists – men, women and youth – more widely heard by policymakers and the general public at national and district level in the three countries.
