Dear all,
In building up to the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists (IYRP) in 2026, the IYRP Working Group (WG) on Pastoralism & Gender has finalised the text of a policy brief entitled "Build on the knowledge & initiatives of pastoralist women”. While awaiting appropriate photos for a more professional layout, we have posted the text already on the IYRP website (https://www.iyrp.info/working-groups) for your information and sharing.
Also posted on the WG page of the IYRP website is the current list of top 32 films on pastoralist women & girls in different parts of the world. More films are coming and will be reviewed by the Gender WG subgroup on films; then this list will be expanded. Those films for which we have permission to post on the Web will be uploaded on the website for the Perspectives on Pastoralism Film Festival (https://www.pastoralistfilmfestival.com), hosted by the Coalition of European Lobbies for Eastern African Pastoralism (CELEP). Please contact me if you want more information about the films, including the links.
Cheers,
Ann
