[IYRP General List] IYRP at GASL meeting 2023 - 2 reports

Dear all,

Several members of the IYRP initiative took part in the 13th Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL) Multi-stakeholder Partnership (MSP) Meeting and the Regional Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation, held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 30 October to 3 November 2023. Some members of Regional IYRP Support Groups (RISGs) organised a side event on the IYRP on 1 November and discussed collaboration with GASL in the lead-up to 2026.
Nitya Ghotge of Anthra, India, who represents the NGO cluster in the Guiding Group of GASL and also coordinates the IYRP Working Group on gender and pastoralism, wrote a short report on the IYRP side event (attached).

Nahid Naghizadeh of the Centre for Sustainable Development and Environment (CENESTA), Iran, attended GASL 2023 and the IYRP side event on behalf of the World Alliance of Mobile Indigenous Peoples & Pastoralists (WAMIP) and wrote a news item from the perspective of pastoralists (attached).
