[IYRP General List] REVIEW please by 6 May: Commentary on Stockholm+50 background documents

Dear GCG members

If you recall, we brought to your attention at the last meeting efforts
underway to raise awareness about rangelands and pastoralists at the
Stockholm+50 conference (2-3 June 2022).  I am pleased to report that the
Side Event submitted by the Government of Mongolia with our collaboration,
has been approved. I attach here for info the Concept Note of that side
event. We are in the process of confirming the remainder of the panelists.
We are also hoping that it will be possible for Anders Oskal and the Arctic
Youth to show case a very exciting "FoodLab/Tent" that combines modern
culinary technology with traditional foods. Congratulations to them for
having won the highest awards for culinary books.

In addition, the sub-group that engaged with the Leadership
Dialogues (consisting of Igshaan, Anders, Ann , Rashmi and myself) has
prepared a short 'commentary' that we have been invited to submit. This is
based on the previous documents you have already reviewed. It has been
consolidated into a short combined document. I attach it here please for
your final review and additions (in track changes please) if any. It will
then be sent to UNEP as part of their "Virtual consultations" with
stakeholders.

Please provide comments by 6th May in writing or verbally during the GCG
meeting.
