We believe there is a need for fresh thoughts and approaches to keep the network strong, evolving and growing during the coming years, and to achieve a real impact and outcome in 2026. </div><div><br></div><div>Also, none of us will just abandon our posts! Clearly there will be a transition period for identification, briefing and hand-over to the new Core Team. And it may occur one by one just simply as and when new folks step up. But for everyone's sake, it is best that we see this transition process through as quickly and smoothly as possible. As we celebrate the declaration by the UNGA it is time that we reconstitute the Core Team. The 4 of us, Maryam Niamir Fuller, Ann Waters Bayer, Barbara Hutchinson and I will be stepping down from the lead roles and need to have others fill these roles. It
has been a long 14 years since the beginning and especially the last 7 years for us and it is time for others to take over. We all 4 will continue to be involved in various ways to support you.</div>
