[Iyrp-gcg] FOR YOUR APPROVAL: Revised/updated IYRP 12 Global Themes

Dear members of the GCG

The original set of themes selected for each month of 2026 was developed in
2017. We felt it was important to do a final revisit and updating so as to
be prepared for campaigns in 2026. We are hopeful that the Government of
Mongolia and FAO's International Steering Committee for IYRP (soon to be
established) will also adopt these themes.

The revision has benefited from input and consultation with the RISGs and
the IYRP Working Groups, and the Global Secretariat (Thanks to all !).

The 12 Global Themes are meant to provide a coordinated framework for all
IYRP partners at the *Global* level. We recognize however, that certain key
messages might be more important in one region than another, and therefore
each RISG is encouraged to adapt the framework to their needs.

In the next few months, we will further refine the key messages described
for each Theme, identify concrete examples to be disseminated, and
determine the most suitable outreach methods.

*At this time, we would seek your approval of the main framework -
especially the title of each monthly Theme. *

All comments are welcome with a *deadline of 2nd April 2025.*
